Once again, Downtown Perrysburg, Inc. will present Perrysburg WINTERFEST 2014. The streets of downtown Perrysburg will come alive with excitement, family-fun activities, ice carvings of every imaginative design and two nights of music, great food and your favorite micro brews and wines.

This year Perrysburg will host the National Ice Carving Championship! More than two dozen professional ice carvers will compete for more than $6,000 of prize money and then display their ice creations throughout the downtown. You will want to be there to see the technical and artistic expertise of these professional ice carvers as they compete for prize money and the national title!

Also, we will have more than 60 ice carvings sponsored by area businesses and organizations that will line both sides of Louisiana Avenue for the public’s viewing pleasure. These fantastic ice sculptures are a source of funding for this event and a major public attraction.

For $300 per ice block (which includes two complementary Wine Tasting Tickets), you can have a one of a kind, custom-made ice sculpture using a logo, a representative image of one’s choice or even an artistic eye-candy that could be that one memorable ice creation that everyone will be talking about.

New this year will be the creation of a “Community Ice Wall” made up of individual 5”x8” blocks of ice that can be engraved per the donor’s wish. The cost will be $20 per “block” and the wall will be located in front of the Commodore Perry Monument.

Friday, 7 to 10 p.m., will feature a ticketed Micro Brew Tasting, highlighting 30 specialty craft beers inside a heated enclosed tent. Tickets are $15 each and include food, entertainment and 8 tastings. Tables of 10 are available for $200.

Saturday, 7 to 10 p.m., hosted by Heidelberg Distributing, will feature more than 30 specialty wines, Taste of Perrysburg by area restaurants, entertainment and the National Ice Carving Champion Awards Ceremony. Tickets are $35 each. Tables of 10 are available for $400.

Thank you in advance for your continued support of Downtown Perrysburg, Inc. With Your support of Winterfest 2014, we are able to continue to make Perrysburg a great place to live, work and play!
